DRAGON GATE QUICK START GUIDE

With 60 ways to win, Dragon Gate is a 5 x 4 reel slot that has a high variance. The RTP is 96.05%, and KA Gaming released the slot game in 2017. It does have wilds, scatters, and two more special symbols to look out for.

In Chinese culture, the Koi or Asian Carp is a symbol of prosperity. The Chinese word for fish sounds like “affluence” or “abundance”.

In addition, the koi reminds people of dragon scales. In China, the dragon is the most revered symbol of power together with the phoenix.

REEL SYMBOLS

Because of this story, the main symbols you would spin on this slot machine are carps and castles.

The high-value symbols are:

• Dragon
• Orange koi
• Purple koi
• Turtle
• Gate

There are no low-value symbols here like letters and numbers, but there are other characters that pay only between $25 and $500 at the highest bet. These characters are the emperor, waterfalls, orange, and two Fu babies.

BASE GAME SYMBOLS & PAYS

Here is the paytable for the high-value symbols at the maximum bet. All pays change according to the size of your wager, and all of them are in currency values.

The betting sizes are between $0.60 and $300 per round. To win you must land three same symbols on any of the 60 paylines. A line win must be comprised of symbols of different adjacent reels, and they must start on the leftmost reel.

BONUS GAMES & FEATURES

Here are the different features symbols in the slot game.

• Wild – the gold koi is the wild and it is a substitute for all other symbols to make a winning combo. The exceptions are the scatter, the dragon gate, and the orange carp. The orange carp is called golden carp in the game, but the color of the drawing is orange.
• Scatter – the scatter symbol is the orange carp under the sea. Three or more of it anywhere on the reels would trigger the 15 free spins bonus. All free spins wins will have a random multiplier applied to them between 2x and 4x.
• Dragon Gate – this ordinary symbol can become a special wild to substitute for the golden (orange) carp symbol if the winning line starts with the golden (orange) carp.
• Golden Carp – if you formed a combo of this symbol, and the dragon gate was used as a substitute, the slot would add an extra 1x prize to the line win.

Let us say that you landed three orange carps, and the fourth one is a dragon gate. The dragon gate will be treated as an orange carp, making your combo a four-symbol combo instead of three.

One thing we have observed in the game is that the slot machine pays multiple lines and not just one combo on a line. For example, we landed a combo of four orange carps at a bet of $300. The prize table was:

• 5x – $2,000
• 4x – $500
• 3x – $200
• 2x – $20

Instead of being paid only $500, we got paid $720 for the 4x, the 3x, and the 2x combos on only one pay line.

SUMMARY

Overall, we will rate this Dragon Gate KA Gaming slot with 6.5 points It has a lot of features that can make your wins quite good. The dragon gate and the carp swaps are innovative, giving you more chances to produce winning combos in case the ordinary wild does not appear.
