- Wild: Folsom Prison features two substituting symbols which are both inscribed WILD.
- Scatter: The 1880 icon represents the scatter. Upon landing two scatters at once, the symbols transform into any of the cockroach nest wild, standard wild, xSplit or xWays symbols.

- The Chair: Eight enterprising the chair spins come the player’s way when four scatter land on the reels simultaneously. During activation, all scatters affected by the xSplits awards an additional spin. Three cockroach wilds are guaranteed on the reels at the start of the feature. The starting reel design is 4x4x4x4x4.
- Cockroach: The cockroach wild nests multiple cockroaches. The cockroaches can move away from the nest onto random reel positions during gameplay. When the cockroaches move onto locked reel positions, the positions immediately unlock. As it moves on the reels, the cockroach also adds its multiplier to all positions it passed through. Cockroaches converging in the same reel positions transform the symbol in that position into a wild. When a cockroach nest lands during the bonus modes, it remains inactive until a cockroach moves over the position. When this happens, the cockroach multiplier upgrades itself. This can only happen three times. Cockroach multipliers carry over into bonus rounds such as The Chair and Walk the Line spins.
- xWays: The game’s winning ways increase when xWays symbols land on the reels. In addition to this, xWays symbols also unlock reel positions directly above and beneath the position they occupy.
- xSplit: When xSplit symbols land, they split themselves into two in the process creating two new wilds. At the same time, they split the row they land on into two thus doubling the number of reel symbols and in the same vein, the number of winning ways. The cockroach multiplier increases by one after each split.
- Meet your Maker: Folsom Prison comes with a whopping max payout pegged at 75,000x the current bet. Any win that exceeds this mark automatically ends the game and the max payout is awarded.
