Unearthing the Secrets: A Deep Dive into the Nolimit City “Six Feet Under” Slot

We’ve all been there, right? Staring at a slot game, wondering what kind of adventure awaits. Some days, it’s a sun-drenched paradise, a carnival of colours designed to lift your spirits before you even hit spin. But then, there are other days. Days when you stumble upon something… different. Something that feels like it’s dug up from the deepest, darkest corners of the earth. Today, we’re talking about one of those days, and the game that’s got us all talking: Nolimit City’s Six Feet Under.

This isn’t your typical feel-good slot. Forget cheerful characters and treasure hunts; this is a game that embraces the grim, the mysterious, and the downright macabre just like the format for many Nolimit City slots. It’s a slot that lurks beneath the surface, promising hidden riches and unpredictable thrills. So, grab your shovel, because we’re about to dig deep into what makes “Six Feet Under” a truly unique experience.

Where the Earth Meets the Reels: A Unique Setting

When you first load up “Six Feet Under,” you’re not greeted with sparkling gems or cartoonish charm. Instead, you’re plunged into a subterranean world, a place literally lined with earth. Nolimit City has a knack for atmospheric slots, and they’ve truly outdone themselves here. Games like “Fire in the Hole” also explored the depths, but “Six Feet Under” carries a different kind of weight. It feels… grimy. The background is a blend of dirt, rocks, and roots, hinting at secrets buried deep.

And what are those secrets? Well, let’s just say our protagonist has a rather peculiar hobby: burying his best friends alive. It’s a dark, twisted narrative that sets the stage for a truly macabre gaming experience. This isn’t just a slot; it’s a story unfolding beneath your feet, a narrative that’s as unpredictable and gritty as the very earth it represents. It’s a world away from the usual glitz and glamour, offering a chillingly compelling aesthetic.

The Grid: A Six-by-Six Mystery

The game unfolds on a substantial 6×6 gaming grid, offering a staggering 46,656 ways to win. But here’s where things get interesting: on every spin, the bottom rows are randomly filled with dirt. Think of it as a natural obstacle, a layer of mystery obscuring what lies beneath. And what lies beneath? That’s the million-dollar question, or perhaps, the million-dollar Gem!

Hidden Treasures: Symbols Under the Dirt

Amongst the dirt, you might find:

• Scatters: The keys to unlocking bonus rounds.
• Bombs: These aren’t just for show; they’re the explosive force that clears the path.
• Gems: The ultimate prize, holding significant value.

This mechanic alone adds a layer of anticipation to every single spin. You’re not just waiting for winning combinations to land; you’re waiting for the earth to be cleared, revealing the potential treasures hidden within.

The Engine Under the Earth: Gameplay Mechanics

“Six Feet Under” runs on Nolimit City’s signature ‘extremely’ volatile math model. This means big wins can certainly happen, but they might take their sweet time arriving. It’s a slot that demands patience, rewarding those who are willing to brave the depths for a chance at significant treasures.

Betting Your Stakes

When it comes to placing your bet, the range is pretty standard. You can start digging for as little as /€0.20∗∗andgoallthewayupto∗∗/€100 per spin. This makes it accessible to a wide range of players, from the cautious explorer to the high-stakes spelunker.

The Paytable: From Royals to Premiums

The symbols are a fascinating mix. We have the standard ransom note-style 10-A card ranks, which form the lower end of the paytable. Landing six of these will net you between 0.5x and 0.9x your bet.

Stepping up are the premium symbols:

• Boots
• A Backpack
• A Music Box
• A Helmet
• A Camera

Landing a full 6 OAK (six of a kind) premium symbol combination can be worth anywhere from 1.1x to a respectable 2.5x your bet. And of course, Wild symbols are present, acting as the normal substitutes for all pay symbols, helping to form those  winning lines on the reels.

Explosive Features: What Lies Beneath the Dirt?

This is where “Six Feet Under” truly comes alive. The slot has many features that are intriguing and potentially rewarding.

The Power of Bombs

Bombs are the unsung heroes of this game. When they land, they don’t just sit there; they explode, clearing paying symbols and dirt in specific patterns. Each type of bomb offers a unique explosive radius and effect, adding a tactical element to the gameplay.

Let’s break down the bomb types:

• Small Box Bomb: A 3×3 explosion. Simple, effective, and a good starting point.
• Teddy Bear Bomb: Explodes in a cross pattern, clearing symbols in four directions. A bit more targeted than the box bomb.
• Big Box Bomb: A massive 5×5 explosion. This one can clear a significant portion of the grid.
• Glass Can Bomb: Clears three rows, removing all symbols in its own row and the ones above and below.
• Gasoline Bomb: Affects three columns, clearing its own column and the adjacent ones. A wide-reaching blast.
• Cake Bomb: An impressive plus and cross pattern explosion, clearing its row, column, and both diagonals passing through it. This is the big one!

Gem Values: More Than Just Pretty Stones

The Gems are the ultimate goal, each carrying a base value ranging from 1x up to a colossal 1,000x. When dirt is cleared by a bomb, the Gem’s value is awarded. But it gets even better: at the start of each avalanche, the value of every Gem increases by its base value. This means that with a cascade of wins, your Gem values can skyrocket, turning a good win into a truly spectacular one.

Gem Upgraders: Enhancing Your Prizes

The Shovel symbol is your friend here. When it lands, it clears itself and then adds random Gem symbols to empty dirt positions on the same reel. Even better, any existing Gem symbols on that reel get upgraded to higher value Gems. The Toolbox symbol takes this a step further, performing the same upgrading function but affecting all reels. Talk about a productivity boost!

The Descent: The Main Event

Triggered by landing 3 scatter symbols (remember, scatters hidden under dirt don’t count initially), “The Descent” is the game’s main bonus round. The grid starts empty, and with each new drop, dirt symbols and regular symbols are added. The dirt symbols are sticky, meaning they stay put. The round ends when the entire reel area is filled with dirt.

A clever twist here: for each extra scatter above the initial three that helped trigger the round, the next lowest value Gem type is locked out from appearing. This adds a strategic level to the bonus, potentially forcing higher value Gems to reveal more often.

Extra Spins: A Second Chance

Sometimes, when a bonus round concludes, you might be offered an Extra Spin. This is a chance to keep all the valuable dirt symbols and scatters from the previous spin, offering another opportunity to snag some wins. The cost of this spin is calculated based on the active features and remaining symbols, and it’s only offered if the cost is less than or equal to your total win. It’s like a little safety net, or perhaps a tempting gamble.

Nolimit Boosters & Bonus Buys: The Shortcut

For those who prefer a more direct approach, Nolimit City offers its signature Bonus Buys. These allow you to jump straight into the action, bypassing the base game.

Here’s a taste of what’s on offer:

• Bonus Booster (3x bet): Guarantees a scatter hidden beneath the dirt.
• Pure Spin (8x bet): Ensures only Gems worth 5x or more can land.
• Purer Spin (80x bet): Restricts Gem landings to those worth 50x or higher.
• Greedy Spins (30x bet): Fills all dirt positions with Gems.
• Greedier Spins (300x bet): Fills all dirt positions with Gems worth 50x or more.
• Greediest Spins (3,000x bet): Fills all dirt positions with Gems worth a massive 1,000x.

And for “The Descent” bonus round, you can buy direct entry for various costs, ranging from 60x to a hefty 2,965x bet, depending on the specific enhancement you choose.

Side Hustles: The Optional Bets

Adding another layer of intrigue are the Side Hustles. These are optional side bets that pay out when certain outcomes occur during the game. They range from specific bomb explosions to achieving a certain number of free spins in “The Descent” or even ending a spin with no dirt. These add a fun, extra dimension for players who enjoy a bit of added risk and reward.

Final Words: Digging Out the Truth

So, after all this digging, what’s the final verdict on “Six Feet Under”? Nolimit City has a reputation for creating slots that are not for the faint of heart, and this one certainly lives up to that. Titles like “Tombstone RIP” have paved the way for this kind of dark, atmospheric storytelling, and “Six Feet Under” fits right in with the vibe.

While it might not be the most visually stunning slot the studio has ever produced – the base game and even the bonus round can feel a bit drab at times – there’s an undeniable, unsettling personality to it. The grisly count-up scenes, the claustrophobic underground setting, it all combines to create a truly memorable experience.

The Gems, while perhaps not looking as glamorous as one might hope, hold the real allure with their substantial values. The unique collection method, relying on Bombs to clear the blockers and reveal the prizes, is a stroke of genius. It adds a layer of destructive spectacle and tactical necessity.

The diversification of Bomb effects ensures that gameplay remains unpredictable and exciting. While the potential for a massive 30,000x win is tantalizing, remember that the subterranean activity is ‘extremely’ volatile. You might unearth a fortune, or you might just end up shifting a lot of dirt.

“Six Feet Under” isn’t for players seeking a lighthearted escape. But if you appreciate twisted storytelling, a genuinely violent atmosphere, and features that deliver on their explosive promises, you might just find yourself captivated. The theme is disturbingly memorable, the features are well-integrated, and the bomb effects are sure to appeal to anyone who enjoys a bit of virtual mayhem. For those willing to get their hands dirty, a unique experience is waiting to be unearthed.

“Six Feet Under” is a disturbingly memorable, if visually underwhelming, addition to the macabre section of Nolimit City’s catalogue. It offers a unique, volatile, and potentially highly rewarding gameplay experience for those who dare to delve into its dark depths on the game reels.
